Kyoto's Shinsen Autumn scenic train🍂🚃|Yes, let's go to Kyoto.

Autumn is deepening 🍁 It's time to arrange an autumn scenic train🚃.

🍁 Sagano trolley train

A net sightseeing train🚟 that you should definitely take in Kyoto in autumn! Actually, not only in autumn, you can see beautiful scenery in each season: cherry blossoms🌸 in spring, green mountains🍃 in summer, and snowy mountains❄️~ in winter. And to enjoy the beautiful scenery, cars will slow down.

Directions→Take the JR Sagano Line from JR “Kyoto Station” and arrive at JR “Saga-Arashiyama Station”. Take the South Exit. (about 17 minutes)

🎫How to purchase tickets→You can purchase tickets in advance at JR West ticket website. Then pick up your ticket at the Midori-no-Ticket Vending Machine or Midori-no-Ticket Gate at each JR station. 🥰.

💰The fare is the same no matter which station you get off at. Adults 880 yen, children 440 yen.

⚠️ Notes:
The train stops 3 times a week. Check the calendar on the website📅 first before you go!

🍁 Eizan Train Maple Tunnel

I was really shocked when I first swiped it on INSTAGRAM!
For a section of about 250 meters, a number of trees surround both sides of the train tracks! The view from the tram window is beautiful!

How to get there → First, go to Kyoto. If you are coming from Kyoto, take the JR Nara Line to Tofukuji Temple, change to the Keihan Electric Railway and get off at Izayanagicho.
How to take the train →Buy a ticket and get off at Izanagi station. ⚠️ Note: There are three platforms as you enter the ticket gate. Trains depart from platform 1 for Yase-Heiyamaguchi Station, and from platforms 2 and 3 for Takifunaguchi Station and Kuruma Station. Some trains stop en route and do not arrive at the end of the line, so be sure to check the destination before boarding. If you board a train outside of Demachiyanagi Station, you can board directly if you have an IC card, or you can get a ticket at the station. Some stations have ticket vending machines, so you can also buy a ticket directly from a ticket machine.

⚠️ Note: The entrance is the rear door. The front door is the exit.

🏄‍♀️ Tour Tip:

If you will be getting on and off the bus many times in a day, we recommend the “ee ticket”. You can get on and off as many times as you like in a day, and there are special discounts for temples and shrines along the line. ⛩️ Perfect for a leisurely excursion. 🚶‍♀️ Fares💰 are 1,200 yen for adults and 600 yen for children. Purchase at the offices of Izumo Yanagi and Shugakuin Stations.
